Pretty much. Until it's an official announcement from Valve, or there are some definitive gameplay trailers leaked, I'm just going to take everything with a huge mountain of salt. HL3 is basically the new Duke Nukem Forever in terms of long awaited sequels.

Anyone know how much you will be able to customize your player character? So far I've only heard that there will be "character customization" and that's it. I've always picked grass starters with the exception of turtwig, so probably either both grass or grass+ froakie.
How would you swing a team with 2 grass types? I guess Bulbasaur gets to be grass/poison so you got some poison as well, noone's sure about if Chespin will have a second type in any of its forms so not sure about what you might do with him for more flexibility than just grass. (I'm not criticsizing, just curious how you plan to do it)

I guess everyone was scared off by Chespin's next evolved form looking really DERP, as I'm the only one starting with Chespin.
Chespins final evolution looks badass so I don't care about looking derp for 15 levels or so!

So Tic is using Froakie / Charmander, Oobla is using Fennekin / Squirtle, Pillz is using Frokie / Bulbasaur, Dante doesn't care and I'm using Chespin / Charmander
I'm rather surprised that so far noone is using the same combination
