Hm, I think I remember a time when the "rules" board were linked in the hotlink tab. I think that it should be brought back to help new forumers get acquainted (Or, if 'twas just a figment of my imagination, I think it should be added), it would help new players not necromance so much - and there was an influx of that as you remember, would help a lot with other problems, which you can guess for yourself.

There also should be a little welcome message (Non-PM, a red box under the quick-links, just welcoming the person, and reminding them nicely to check out the rules and etc.

Something like the attached picture, but not as stupid and way more refined.

I suggest that when theres no current announcement(like now, cause its just an april fools one) we put the rules and a message there until another announcment is made. i like the rules tab too, it always helped me

Yes we had this before with drop downs for specific servers.
 
It was removed at the time for some reason I can't recall either way the main issue with readding it now... is space.
There simply isn't any. If we add it the Logout Button will go down a block and cover things up.

This mainly concerns people with low resolutions but also admins who have extra selections.


I'll look into seeing if I can find a better way to make it work.


As for the first time pm/msg or w/e. I will look into implementing something like that as well.

yeah i agree we should put that rules thing there. some people cant navigate forums to save their life and it would be of great use
