This was by HerpDerp, this was yesterday. As you said you would enforce the knifing admins, I don't want him punished.

Edit: I will start reporting people who have knifed me 2+ per day.

The "knife admins only alliance" is a load of crap, I agree, although I have a question about it...

Say for example someone said pre-round, "If I'm a traitor, I'm going to knife unknown", and then it turns out they were a traitor, and they knifed him purely because of the "knife admins only alliance", would there still be punishments for this?

I think it is really stupid to annoy admin.  Considering they can ban you.  Its asking for it.

I'm hesitant to punish them, because no rule is being broken, they are trolling but not rdming, they just decide they want to waste T round for this.

They're breaking a rule, trolling. But usually trolling will earn a gag/mute, but since this is in-game trolling, it requires a ban.

I'm guessing you should warn a couple times, then hour ban for trolling.

If it is starting to bother you, be very clear with them that they should knock it off. If you do that and they keep doing it, specifically targeting you, I would classify that as trolling.

That people are knifing admins too frequently...

How do you know that this line has been passed? How can you tell the difference between a random knife and a knife aimed specifically at you, because you're an admin?  Because I tend to use my knife on my friends when I'm a traitor. A lot of my friends are admins. I don't want to get rage banned or some shit.

It is a game, therefor people play for FUN.
Being knifed every round or two rounds makes the game boring really quick.

Lets do some math:

Assuming the server is at max capacity of 28

We have seven traitors.

Now, lets breaks this down even further and make some assumptions.

Two admins are on the server, lets say neither of them get traitor this round.

That gives us 21 non traitors, two of which are admins.

Lets say we have every traitor buy a knife, which is highly unlikely.

Generally its also safe to assume that around two people will kill themslves doing silly things for jokes and what have youu.

This brings our innocent total down to 19. 2 of which are admins whom we are assuming havent killed themselves.

Now, if the admins are keeping themselves around a group of mixed players, than they potentially lower their risk of being knifed.

However, lets go ahead and assume everyone is seperate, and 7 people are in company with the traitors, and every traitor uses their knife now.

Theres a 37% chance that you're going to be knifed, regardless of whom you are, admin or not.

This is assuming however no traitors are dead, and only two people have died thus far.




There is also the issue of the fact that the admins are probably being knifed by a different traitor every round. So if we start punishing people who have knifed the admin on their traitor round, than we have the problem of an innocent being swept up with everyone else who is intentionally doing it. At capacity, theres a 25% chance you are the traitor, meaning we could potentially go four rounds, with every round being a COMPLETELY different batch of traitors. Do we punish the three people who knifed an admin even though they may have no correlation to one another?


There is also the reality that admins are going to look to see when they got knifed a lot harder versus any other sort of death they may have. The knife is a one hit kill, its an effective item nine times out of ten. The admins are generally more seasoned players, and are viable targets regardless of this whole knife admins nonsense. If I'm playing TTT, I'm gonna target the people whom I know are seasoned players, who know the tricks, and who can generally piece things together better than others, and admins simply have the label of that on them because they have to be somewhat seasoned enough to become an admin.

The way I see it, I though that thread was more of a joke but seems like some are taking it to heart. TTT isn't a team style game where you play with clans and alliances. You have to take chances with the possible unknown traitor behind you while hunting other traitors down, not hunt admins down all the time.

Yes, smart players should go after the best players when they are a T (Tendovvi, that means you!), but when better targets are passed up to kill admins, it can make the game unfun, admins will not want to play and well have you been on lately? It's been quite the RDM fest without admins on. The fact that an admin is taking time away because of this is an indicator.

Look, this thing is probably going to calm down in a week or two anyway if we leave it alone anyway. I don't think we should ban people per say unless they are truly targeting specific players as part of trolling, not as part of the game.

Point is this: It is negatively impacting game play. It is negatively impacting the admin, in a manner where they are not having fun, and wish to no longer admin.

It is a game that REQUIRES admin.  So, you going around targeting them, and attacking them, well, enjoy the rdm fests which will occur, cause the admin are not having fun, so are playing as little as possible.

And honestly, the only way you can provide substantial evidence that a single player is targeting you is that you should have multiple rounds in relatively close proximity of time to be able to judge it, or a video of it happening. Otherwise, you could screenshot a knife from yesterday, one from tomorrow, one from saturday, and report it on saturday saying this specific person knifed you three rounds.
