Knife Admins Only Alliance

Targeting another player has always been against the rules, does not matter what CG server you are on.
It is considered trolling, or minging.

So, all in all, a bad idea?  Probably.  Could there be repercussions for, effectively, disrespecting Admins? Yup. 

This is how I see it: These guys go after an admin, who is trying to do their job on the server. They knife him round after round.  Does the victim get upset? Probably.  Does it interfere with his attempting to admin? Most likely.  Admin doles out bans for Admin disrespect.   You complain.  Cortez steps in, sees what has happened, and would probably not be happy with you.  You probably would complain further.  Cadaver steps in, sees what has happened, and probably extends your ban...

So, seeing how I see it, do you think this is really a good idea?

So, seeing how I see it, do you think this is really a good idea?

I. Rules:
    1. Names need to consist of some English letters and be easily pronounced.
    2. Do not RDM! (See section V)
    3. Treat everybody with courtesy and respect.
    4. Be conservative on mic use. (This means no singing, spamming, etc.)
    5. No ghosting, cheating, hacking, or giving yourself an unfair advantage in anyway.
    6. Anyone found to be excessively annoying will be muted / gagged.
    7. Karma below 700 will be banned.
    8. Do not manipulate props in dangerous ways. (Unless you're a traitor.)
    9. Do not idle / camp as a traitor. (see section VI)
    10. Respect the admins and their decisions.
    11. No Porn / R rated sprays.
    12. Do not troll
    13. Do not name yourself similar to another player on the server.
    14. Do not have names that will be confused with radio commands (nobody / somebody in disguise / etc)
    15. Detectives cannot make new rules, they must follow the rules listed here.
    16. No Hate speech (Racism, sexism, etc)

Its not listed anywhere in the rules as it being against the rules.  It doesn't stop the admin from doing their job, arguably, its makes it easier for them to do their jobs, because they can focus on observing players without having to worry about their own gameplay. Targetting specific people for something like knifing over and over again has never been a rule EVER enforced on TTT, and is not listed ANYWHERE.

To target one person is trolling (Please look at rule 12). This was established during hair slut's shinanagans. If you can't play nicely don't play. If you don't play and are just feeding trolls, knock it off.

You want to push for iron clad rules because you guys can't play nicely we know the result: you'll complain that the rules are too strict. Show some common sense and stop trying to pull the "I don't see it" stuff.

Actually targeting people over and over has never lead to good things. Often times it does lead to RDM, either the person targeting the same person over and over will RDM them occasionally or the person that gets targeted will RDM because they don't want to get killed by the same person over and over (this is what happens most often).

I'm in, sign me up. I think in all my days of TTT I've only used the knife around 4 times after establishing it as being ''O.P.'' . But maybe it's time to let my rebellious side out.

To the eyes of a TTT outsider as myself, this thread looks like a whole lot of troll and nothing constructive.

Forming a group to irritate the heck out of admins sounds like a great way to send a server to hell.

I mean, I don't really care. If I was an admin, I wouldn't mind it. Really -- who cares? You're bound to get knifed eventually by some traitor. Don't like getting knifed? Watch your back a bit more. Stop letting people follow you into corners.

Regardless of any of this: Please don't go around knifing admins in large groups (knowing you'll get mowed down seconds later) just because they're admins. That's lame. Knife them because it's a logical choice! (ie. They're alone, and just so happen to be admins)

Prior to me getting all my deaths attributed to knives, i thought it was a joke. I would play along like getting knifed once or twice per map. On ALL of my inno rounds, I'm knifed, with almost everyone on the server saying to follow me or look the other way if I get knifed. I would still be fine with this for people who I play with and are on my steam friends.

However, I'm getting knifed by newcomers, and its very frustrating to keep playing server especially since I leave, the trolls, mic spammers, and rdmers arise from the guys. When Llama said the whole knifing admins, I didn't actually believe they would act on it. I am usually the admin whom they target.


Edit: So yes it does actually interfere with admin duties, but making me less willing to join the server.

Woah, 'member when this was just a fun little joke that MJB did on the server? Well, I can see everyone's putting on their serious pants, you can go ahead ad unzip those. This was and is all a joke, an annoying joke, but a joke.

I recommend you guys stop, because when the Cadaver disapprove, everyone dissaproves. Requesting lock, nothing but hate has come from this.

Yeah, I figured this would happen eventually. Being an admin is hard enough without people constantly harassing you. If you guys continue to target individual players for no reason other than to troll them punishment will be dealt. Thread locked.
