What was the problem/offense?: Otter called Christovski in about a Speed Hacker, once Chris joined he stopped. So while he watched the hacker I searched up his Actual steam id, and history.

    • Proof: He has been banned several times on other servers for hacking and ban evasion.

When I joined, he was already dead, and his connection timed out before he could spawn the next round so I didn't see anything unfortunately.

TheEddyMinator was on the other night, on zm_asdf
He sped all the way over to the spinning bridge trap and jumped off. I mentioned his hacking in disgust, and he claimed he was an admin. After I told him off for it, he said that he would "never do it again."

Of course I don't trust his word at all.

I am technically an admin rank, although my admin has not yet been readded to zm after the wholegrain issue. I have talked to inject about my status and things should be moving along.
So to get to the point: If I had admin status at the time, I would have banned him myself. so technically he should have been banned already. he did things so quickly there was no chance to record.
EDIT: from the server, not globally, i don't have access to global.

We have proof that he has done it before, recently, and wont stop. We also had someone who is suppose to be a ZM admin witness it.

Nah Dante, we usuaully at least need some record, preferably a demo

Even if you're an admin you should still take a demo so if he/she appeals you can prove it.

Anybody remember Koshey? He got caught hacking (video on Youtube) on another server about a week before we finally caught him hacking on ours (he was always highly suspected of it, but nobody got proof until  Doctor did). Point is we need evidence on it on our servers before we take action.

The reason why to bring up somebodies history is because it shows a pattern. Can't ban people for it however.

actually the way around the demo is just have multiple admins on and then ban him when he does it again. i remember having do this before to about 4-5 people who were speed hacking in the game.

There are about 30 or so speedhack bans on sourcebans. Only 1 of them has a demo listed.

Most people don't upload them to source-bans (probably because they didn't know you could) and just have them in their demo folder.

Hacking is a fairly big accusation. You better be able to back it up with hard evidence. Witness testimonies won't get you shit in a real court if you don't have evidence.

Here is the deal: You have to have the evidence.  OR, the ban can be overturned.

Watch the fellow.  He will do it again, and ban him.

Can someone check the logs?  Did he claim to be admin vocally, or did he type it?  If he typed it, there is proof of pretending to be an admin...

Not necessarily. Banning somebody for hacking always needed a demo before the ban came.
