Totodile for the fucking win; the Totodile family puts the new crocodile dark/sand type family to shame. I always went with water Pokemon since I played Blue. Tepig was my first Fire type and Turtwig was my first Grass type last generation.

Haven't played Pokemon in a while, but i remember my first being Pokemon Crystal. Me having no sense of strategy at all, somehow beat the entire game using ONLY my Feraligator... I had other pokemon i was holding, but they were just to fill slots, i never used them. Don't even remember getting or using the master ball. To this day i still don't know how, but i managed to level my Feraligator OVER lvl 100. This was also before i knew about cheats, so truthfully im baffled. I'd be able to take a picture but my brother erased the file when he was maybe 7 years old, never played it since.

Also Earthquake doesn't work on flying pokemon.

HOORAY DEATH EVOLVED FROM ABRA so now he actually has an attack and is useful!  And it was in a tag team battle so Bunn3h evolved from Shinx at the same time!

The last time anyone evolved, it was another tag battle and Tictac and Raunky both evolved at the same time!

OH GOD almost got party wiped!  my guys were around lvl 18 and fought a team galactic scientist who had a lvl 20 Kadabra and he one hit almost my entire team!  Got a few small hits in but finally Death the Kadabra used disable to remove his only damaging move (yeah kind of a dick but it was that or total party wipe!) and finished him off so now DEATH is a lvl 20 Kadabra!

I'm planning to start playing through Emerald or Fire Red soon.

I kinda stopped playing recently; I just don't feel the need to play anymore. I use my time watching Sherlock on Netflix and playing ZPS now; oh and playing minecraft on my phone even though I have it on the computer.

Bite my shiny metal ass, unless you want another Pokemon thread on the main page, I'll be posting in here again.]

So, I killed off my playthrough of Platinum for now. I don't know what it is but something seems off about my playthrough and I really don't want to continue it.

Currently, I'm thinking about either starting a new one for Platinum (Maybe I just did something off) or I'll be going through Soul Silver again.


Once I'm through one of those, I'm gonna go through Fire Red and Emerald, I haven't played these ones in ages.




Oh and to answer your question Pillz.
Black 2 feels like a "Call of Duty" sequel. Where most Pokemon games bust out a completely new area (Kanto/Jhoto/Unova) Black 2 adds about 4 towns and a few side land marks easily missed.

The gyms are basically the exact same as before, except for two and the odd Pokemon in the gym leaders team.
I'm sure once you get going it's fun, but as it is playing this one right after playing through black feels like you've just started a new game.

My platinum run is still going well with team SKG, finally got our third badge, I forgot how LONG it is between gyms in the newer games!

Team status:

Tictac - Monferno lvl 21, Ember, Rock Smash, Flame Wheel, Fury Swipes

Nix - Shellos lvl 21, Water Pulse, Mud Bomb, Harden, Hidden Power

Raunky - Staravia lvl 21, Wing Attack, Endeavor, Quick Attack, Double Team (WHEN I GET FLY?!?!?!?!)

Bunn3h - Luxio lvl 21, Spark, Charge, Bite, Tackle

Death - Kadabra lvl 21, Confusion, Teleport, Disable (NEED MOAR MOVES!)

Pillz - Roselia (He asked for it!) lvl 22, Mega Drain, Grass Whistle, Cut, Stun Spore (NEEDS MOAR RAZOR LEAF!)

Pillz - Roselia (He asked for it!) lvl 22, Mega Drain, Grass Whistle, Cut, Stun Spore (NEEDS MOAR RAZOR LEAF!)

Kadabra learns miracle eye at level 22 and then Psybeam at 24; Recover and then Psycho cut at 30 & 34, last strong psychic attacks being Psychic and Future Sight at 40 and 42.

Roselia should of had a Leech Seed at 16 or Magical Leaf at 19 so unless you wait till level 25 for Giga drain you should find a TM like Grass knot or something to give it; after Giga Drain you'll learn moves like Toxic Spikes, Sweet Scent(lowers enemy evasion and can be used outside of battles to attract pokemon to battle you), Ingrain(healing), and then Toxic before learning Petal Dance at lvl40 which is one of the strongest special grass moves. It power is only 90 in Platnium but in Black it's 120Dmg, but it does that damage for 2-3 turns and confuses you if you manage to land all three attacks without being stopped. So it's like Dragon Rage for Grass pokemon. Roselia only learns Aromatherapy(cures confusion, parlyz, burn, etc) and Synthesis which restores HP based on the weather.

Giga Drain + Ingrain + Petal Dance + (???) = Ideal move set for Roserade. I'd suggest losing cut soon to make room for some other powerful non-grass move; maybe Toxic to poison them or something.

After you evolve Roselia into Roserade though there's no more learning moves by leveling up so I'd say after PetalDance you can evolve. If you're still using Roselia, but again best grass option IMO.
