Limit on Banshees?

Title.  I find that when a noob spawns 20 banshees all from one zombie spawn at once, it just ruins the game. 
As ZM, I personally never have more than 5 banshees alive at once, unless a trap creates them (like on diamondshaols or tetris_epic) and I win a lot of the time.   
I myself want banshee limiting, but maybe other people don't.

Inject has suggested we have a poll to see the community's thoughts, because as he says: "Banshees arn't really that hard to kill or dodge and are my favourite zombie. I have never actually lost a game to b spam minus having a bad team when it happens."

So its your chance to choose community, do you want banshee limiting?  Or am I just a cranky old guy parrot

Woah five would be too few I'm afraid; but if people think that's better go for it.

The ZM being able to spawn more than 15 at a time would be BS though; maybe we can find a way to make them cost more to make? So the ZM uses them strategically instead of whenever they can?
This whole thing is a travesty.

For starters, Pillz is obviously the sexiest.

You can set a max PER PLAYER which is usually how it's done. As a side note. I see no issue with 15 depending on player count maybe. Even still 15 isn't a big issue. If all you spawn is banshees a well trained player will dominate the game.

I can promise you, no matter how many people on the server or how well armed they are.
If you spawn 20 Banshees you're almost guaranteed a victory and with the resources you get per-kill, you can just buy more to finish the rest off.

Banshees are beyond over-powered in a group of five anyways.
They knock your screen up when you're hit and when they attack in a group of five they can pin any single player and kill them in a matter of seconds.

What magical map were you on where a Banshee spam didn't wipe the floor. Because if it's a wide open map there is no real threat from any Zombie type.

However the regulars all play on enclosed maps with objectives.  Meaning any number of Banshees is an extremely large threat and when you have a spam of 20 that continue to spawn the entire server empties quite quickly.

Well at the very least, i think setting it to be one banshee per player would be fair.  That way a maximum of 16. 
Hulks can devastate survivors but those don't need to be limited.

The 5 Banshee limit on the ORIGINAL Kill Factory is what made it one of the most popular ZM servers of its time.
Other servers allowed 10 - 20 Banshees and were usually emptied by a single terrible ZM who spammed or that one Asshole who though 20 Banshees was being super tactical.

One through two banshees is not the problem, the problem is fighting 6-15 by your self in close quarters. And maybe you could kill 5 by yourself on Gas Dump or some other Huge map, but on the close up maps the Regs like to play it kills the server immediately after having someone spawn over 5.

Well at the very least, i think setting it to be one banshee per player would be fair.  That way a maximum of 16. 
Hulks can devastate survivors but those don't need to be limited.
I feel even hulks need a limit, because sometimes there are so many spawning in a cramped area that it is impossible to dodge their 50 Damage swings.

But you wouldn't be fighting 15 alone in a close area, spawn areas have limits too and some don't even let you spawn banshees from the. I like playing games the way their designed.

Besides, who said you have to kill them? I generally avoid them.

No, it's not like ZPS's name. ZPS is the "CG Slaughterhouse" as ZM could be "CG Kill Factory"; the SKG is retarded albeit cute. Yes the name is a tribute to the old ZPS server but only because it's always been that way, ZM on the other hand has gone through some changes since then.

Also if that's your attitude on the server we should probably let someone else run it; maybe Death?

Don't shut the thread down because we're barely 3-4 posts "off-topic" even though you brought up the idea of the name change, tictac simply referenced how the old server worked. The name matters not IMO due to how many people actually look at it but it should be changed regardless.
