You can hear the scout from much farther away than the vintar. The vintar sound is also less noticeable. It isn't actually silent, it is silenced.

Let me put it this way, In real life why would a Terrorist buy a Vintar when a Scout is Cheaper and Easier to kill with, AND you can just attach a Suppressor to the gun for the same effect as the Vintar?

because the real life VSS Vintorez ( on phone) uses its own special subsonic 9mm armor piercing rounds. Because the round is subsonic, its quieter then a regular sniper with a suppressor that shoots regular (supersonic) bullets. The downside is the range is only good for about 200m, so you have a disadvantage in range but a near quiet sniper rifle.

I haven't really noticed the Vintar being quieter... And the problem is, if you hear a random scout, nobody is really suspicious. If you hear a Vintar, everyone and their grandmother is yelling,"TRAITOR!!! VINTAR!!!! SNIPER!!!! GET DOWN!!! HELP!!! MY LEG!!!! HE'S RIGHT THERE!!! UP TOP!!!" The Vintar should be made SUPER quiet. Otherwise, I don't see the point in getting it over a scout since hearing the Vintar is a dead giveaway that a traitor is there

Thats because people aren't using it like a sniper rifle. They are using it when they are 15 ft away. If you guys ever shot a gun with a suppressor irl, you'd notice that you still hear it easily.
