I banned you permanently for Mass RDM. But I'm fine with unbanning you, you've been in my friends for a while too. I really don't remember what happened but I'd say give him a second chance.

Personal friendship should not come into play for a ban appeal, that defeats the whole purpose of a ban.

He waited a while before he decided to make a ban appeal, so he did not care.

That being said, it is his first offense, and he has no other bans elsewhere. How many people did he RDM tendovvi?

Nelth, if he appealed his pban immediately it wouldn't have served much a purpose, waiting a while means he actually endured a moderate punishment. Saying a pban is a pban really isn't correct anymore as we've unbanned a pretty decent amount of previously pbanned players.

As crow said, he doesn't seem to have any bans in any other communties. It sounds like Tendovvi was the only one who was actually there so I feel it's up to him whether or not the player deserves a second chance.

Who have we unbanned recently that was pbanned for something that wasn't related to wholegrain? If it was immediate, it would show urge to get back on, but he let it go for weeks without a post. I agree it is up to tendovvi in the end, but I also think that we should go back to the perma is a perma unless proven otherwise.

Just because someone asks for an unban doesn't mean they should get it. If someone was in court and asked to have their charges dropped for absolutely no reason would they? Honestly if someone does something worth getting perma banned it was done intentionally and they shouldn't be unbanned period. The only times we should be unbanning people is if they've been abused by an admin or there was some sort of misunderstanding. This is not the case. The ban should stay.

Its the same. A relationship with an admin does not mean you can break the rules and expect to get unbanned because you "know" somebody. Additionally its a permaban, so you have to do something stupid to earn that.

I will say that because of the lack of evidence, that if you feel that he is worthy of being unbanned, unban him, but this will be his warning.

I also think we need to settle the 'perma is perma' thought. I will bring this up with the other CL's during the next meeting.
