I think that Pornography is just one of the many things that hold us back as a species. We will never reach TNG level of enlightenment if women continue to perform for $$$.

Men are weak it will take the women to stop posing/fornicating/dressing sexually, to achieve higher all around respect for themselves, before we follow lead and treat them as equals as a whole.

Technically they could but they announced they were refusing it and Pornhub responded. I think they've decided to donate to some other charity.

I agree. I've actually enjoyed reading most of the posts. But still, you know how easily drama gets out of hand on teh interwebz. Besides, I wanted to establish a precedent for similar threads and clear any doubts on the matter.

i'm pretty apathetic about this but by way of reflex i would say, as others have said, that komen has every right to reject whatever donations it chooses to reject. and i don't think you can blame charity organizations (of which, sure, komen may not be a respectable example, but i use the term for argument's sake), like other companies, for feeling compelled to take their public image into consideration. maybe komen judged that backlash in the form of screeds by prudish fanatics with ass-backwards moral compasses about how they accepted "dirty sex money" to fight cancer would result in a decrease in donations and therefore an overall inferior outcome over time.

wait though I think more of that comes into play do we have the same system as hinduist India? A cast system that makes it so that you are unable to even touch or be close to people who you deem on a lower cast?
Also if a person you think is a bad person tries to do a good thing why would you hinder him from doing so? Is a good act all of the sudden bad because that person does something you deem bad?
I agree it is purely upp to them who they want to accept and who they want to decline but claiming moral superiority as a reason to not let some1 do a good thing is sorta stupid.

I was also just saying fine, and responding to everyone's "Komen has an image to protect" sort of thing, and I used a very poor analogy for that. You'd be right. REGARDLESS, thou shall not have a tainted image for accepting a donation from Pornhub.

right, so it's not the fault of the charity organization so much as the fault of society for establishing immoral standards. you can't expect the charity organization to just fuck itself in the ass on principle. accepting the donation might result in a drastic reduction in donations in the future on account of morally misguided prudes not wanting to donate to that slimy company that accepted donations from a porn site. i don't know if that's a likely outcome but if komen thought so then i sympathize regardless of my (nonexistent) opinion on komen as a legitimate charity organization.
