I'm trying to download Update for Windows on Vista from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3274 so i can play Sniper Elite V2, but whenever i try to download it, i get error: 0xc8000222. There doesn't seem to be any good solutions on Google. I can't check for updates in my control panel because it says it can't currently and might require a restart, although this doesn't do it...

Can anyone help so that this doesn't become a waste of $50?

[Solution] - I found some thing on Google that works, it was basically just deleting all the files in the update folder.

Not my fault that i got Vista, plus people with Windows 7 get the same problem.

I'm assuming that the error is from DX11, since that's the only reason why I'd see you'd get that specific error with the KB971512 update.
I'm also going to assume you're running a 32bit version... otherwise I'd have to insult you.

Do you currently have Directx11 installed...?

Edit: Come to think of it, do you have Service pack 2 installed either? Since you said you don't get windows updates, it's possible that you're missing it.

I do have SP2 installed, and i was trying to get DX11 update when this error happened. Also yes, i am running 32 bit.
