I've got to say, I love Dragon Ball about a fifth more than Dragon Ball Z. They're both great and if you didn't enjoy DB but loved DBZ, you can't call yourself a decent fan.

In all fairness, the first few seasons of DBZ were really good; honestly the Namek saga kind of made me lose interest originally, but when watching Kai it wasn't as bad as I remembered.. Probably because they cut 5-10 episodes out of waiting/travel that was unneeded.. but I always stop watching in general after the Majin Buu saga, I don't get why but I couldn't follow into GT if I wanted to.. Dragonball was more adult oriented it felt like while DBZ got very kid friendly.. idunno. Watching in Japanese makes it 500% better too.
