DS? not the wii? I mean they haven't made anything decent on the wii in ages, but metroid prime was legit, and the donkey kong country was pretty darn fun.

consoles are expensive to get games for, and pc lasts forever, but, am offended no wii choice >|:V

Ok, let me slightly rephrase that. Donkey Kong Country 'Returns' for the Wii, was very good.

I owned a wii.. for two days, that took me to beat Skyward Sword

2 days? Did you even try 100%? How many hours did you actually put into it?

I put two days of effort into Skyward Sword; got to the desert and didn't want to play anymore. First time I can say that for zelda; I still need to beat it but I just get so unmotivated playing as I know I'm going to be returning to that amazingly fun place 2-3 times. I hated that desert; and forreal, I kind of didn't like any of the levels except the firey place. I really enjoy the game but it feels like a shittier version of wind waker that looks "better". I would rather play through WindWaker again; or OOT, or MM, or any other Zelda.

The only two zelda games to ever dissapoint me: Skyward Sword, and the fucking Train Track game for DS. Not to mention how buggy the Controls were for me. I don't know if it's because my couch is further back than it should be and too low, and when I stand up my TV might be too low; but very often at the worse possible times link wouldn't swing how I swung. I could always get him to swing correctly after another attempt or two but after losing a few hearts. Not to mention how baffled I was at some points; like when you need to roll a bomb across a bridge in the fire to blow a hole in a wall. The first 12 times I attempted rolling or throwing this bomb; it never made it across and I was beyond pissed off as I could find no other way to progress. Even after looking up a video of someone doing it; it took another 10 minutes to get it right. This is the point in the game where I had become completely demoralized.

Don't get me wrong I still like the game; and would rate it a 7 or 8 out ten but I've never felt such irritation towards a zelda game, it was depressing and I just decided I'll play when I want to. I also really haven't been playing much any Console games anymore; if I'm not at work or busy elsewhere, I'm playing ZPS. If not, I'm playing Gran Turismo, Guitar Hero or Super Smash brothers with friends. I haven't touch Skyrim in months and I had only just reached Solitude.

It's my personal favorite Zelda game, and if your only on your first time to the desert, geez your not even 1/3 of the way through the game! I know how you feel though, first trip through the desert is pretty crappy, but the game has got a solid 50+ hours of gameplay for even a decent gamer. I don't know why people complain about the controls either, i never had a problem with them except for the thrust, but you hardly use that through the entire game.

This being my favorite Zelda may be with the fact that i have NO NOSTALGIA for anything, i'm over nostalgia and have realized how crappy games were when i was younger. Wind Waker was a masterpiece for it's time though, still holds up today.

I didn't THOROUGHLY enjoy Skyward, kind of like how I didn't really like the minish cap.

If you want me to be completely brutally honest, I don't care enough for any new Zelda games. Never have, never will. I gave up at Twilight Princess. By far the WORST Zelda game (minus the DS adaptations) that I had EVER played. In fact, if I had to say something, Wand of Gamelon was a better fucking game than TP

Well, okay... Twilight Princess was equal to the DS throw-backs. I despised them all, never again shall I ever play a fucking DS game unless it's Ocarina of Time on the 3DS *which I bought purely for OoT, and beat with the 3 heart challenge on my first playthrough for shits and giggles*

The point being, it was a HORRID game. Skyward sword wasn't that bad, but it wasn't amazing either. I'd say it was on the level of The Minish Cap for me, which wasn't bad either, but some parts were just a struggle to get through. The difficulty wasn't the issue, it was the gameplay mechanics and the sluggish behavior of the story progression.

As a whole, I felt that the older generation of Zelda games were much more time-consuming along with more rewarding as games than they are as of now. I actually ENJOYED Wind Waker in SOME aspects, but since it was a change, I disliked it as a kid. I went back, replayed it, beat it, and I found an all new respect for it. Probably because with anti-aliasing, the game is an amazingly sexy adaptation. That being said, I'm disappointed that nintendo has never bothered with anti-aliasing with their consoles. It makes games so much more.. uhm, unappealing?

OoT - best Zelda game hands down. Dont agree? Oh then Fu*k off  it just captures everything I mainly lime it cause I was such a young man when I beat it on nintendo and it was my first video game besides super Mario bro's on atari. TP was ok but I didnt get as much fun out of it. The wolf part was pretty cool though -- better on skyrim but that's for a different time.

It was an amazing game, i haven't the foggiest how you guys don't figure that. The swordplay was just stellar, the story was good,the dungeons had a good difficulty to them, not to hard, not to easy, the boss battles were fun and engaging and there was loads to do. The graphics were some of the best on the GameCube (and im saying the Gamecube version was the best, the Wii version sucked) The only part I found bad was that the end battle was too easy, just was not the difficulty it should have been.

Yeah you're kind of an asshole if you don't play OoT. I've legitimately played it 12 times; and it was only on the 9th-12th playthroughs I nailed the water temple. Seriously Sniper, it's a game you can't miss. It was game of the year in 1998 and claimed to be one of the best games of all time. Perhaps this is why you enjoyed Skyward sword as much, because that game and all after it just don't compare to OoT and Majora's Mask.

Play it now. Download it on an emulator and play for all I care but it's story of the hero of time that's retold in most every Zelda game after, and sets up the main plot that all games are essentially based upon..

This is basically what happened to MMOs with me, i played WoW, and found it so good that i just can't play other MMOs anymore. If OoT is as good as you claim it is, then all i would be doing is hurting myself from other Zelda games. Good day sir.

I like Zelda games, i wouldnt say im a huge fan of it, i could say im a MINOR fan, but im not going to go out of my way to buy some older zelda games just to say i played it or to say im a fan, because truthfully i dont feel like it. I never even said i was a fan of Zelda anyway. I also don't feel like going through the "Dreaded water temple" either.
