Overzealous muting leading to a p.mute.

So playing a little TTT today as a Detective I'm trying to maintain order within the game with people that seem to not listen.  Two confirmed and called out traitors are calling out random people and me (along with a few other intgelligent players) are screaming at them to kill THEM instead of the people they're calling out.  They aren't listening and killing the innocents while the traitors clean up as me and the few rational people end up getting sniped and/or stabbed.  I verbally berate the people for not listening to the server when sprite goes "I've had enough of you" and mutes me.  Two rounds left in the map, all right fine.  New map, 67th.  More idiocy leads to me calling out someone for being unobservant.  Sprite mutes me in the first round right off the bat before I can get too far into my discussion without warning me, almost as if he has this shit bound to key.  We exchange words in general chat.  Four rounds or so of me getting killed without being able to verbally call out people, and I can't TYPE it out because that leads to me usually getting killed, and people usually don't even read text chat so my words fall on deaf ears anyways.  So I rejoin, figuring that four rounds of mute is -plenty- punishment.  Instantly perma muted.  So I spend FOUR ROUNDS of being muted on the same map and rejoining to get rid of the mute because sprite seems to have some personal vendetta against me because he wants the entire server to be rainbows and sugar-coated candy when there are times when you need to be harsh on people to actually PLAY PROPER.

So who's in the wrong, the person trying to enjoy playing the game with sentient people or the person punishing them for not playing the way they want?

You do realize that avoiding a mute is grounds for a Pmute right? Although it is customary to warn beforehand, I have also had issues with you in the past and this could very well have crossed the line for Sprite.

Do you have evidence of this? I would like to hear Sprite's half of the story, but some admins tend to be too harsh.

However, I know people on the server can be really, really stupid sometimes. But, no one playing on our server wants to hear one person cuss out the others. We're here to enjoy the game, not listen to people bitch.

Now, for the mutes: You should have been warned before each mute. Especially between maps and before a pmute. Again, I want Sprite's half before I take sides on this. But, when muted, you are muted at the admin's discretion; meaning that they decide when you are to be unmuted. Normally, when I mute, they stay muted for the remainder of the map. That is something I recommend for admins, so no foul there for Sprite. Now, you say that he did not warn you, for any of the mutes.. that is a major foul. All admins are required to warn before a mute (unless if racist/homophobic/sexist). And for the pmute rejoin, you need to rejoin the server twice before an admin can pmute.

Last time I'm saying this, I am waiting for Sprite's response. We will check the logs to see if there were any warnings there, and if you have ANY proof of you not being warned before the mutes, we can fix you right up and get you un-pmuted.

Exactly like waffles said, gotta give warnings before muted or at least reasons why and if the person leaves to avoid Tell them that if they continue its a possible pmute. Until sprite responds or waffles checks logs we won't know for certain.

As for grey, you can't bitch out other people, makes the server look like we accept personal attacks against others and under no circumstances is that permitted. the muting sounds more then justified (not refering to pmute)

Every 10 seconds in chat you were like saying crap about how you feel 'berating' players is the only way to deal with idiots, you swore at people, you disrespected a lot, looked apparent to me you didn't deserve mic privilege, and I wasn't even there when you had it.  Didn't read other part of thread, no time.

I gave you plenty of warnings to stop insulting every person on the server because they weren't listening to what you were saying. You were also screaming so I muted you. When I mute someone almost always I keep you muted for the entire map. We had our discussion in chat and that was fine up until the part where you decided that you were done serving your punishment and rejoined the server. You don't get to decide when your mute is over the admins do. Also I joined on 67th so it was one map so I don't know why your saying I was on a map before hand. This all happened on 67th.

It was the end of minecraft, you seem to have forgotten.  There was definately two maps worth of this.

Waffles: I was never warned on all mutes.  They just happened and sprite was all "I'm tired of your bullshit" etc. etc.  Never was I given a -chance- with him, and this is not the first time that this has happened between the two of us.

Like mystery said you were given your warning and you decided to take things into your own hands. Unless you have anything else to say I'm waiting for tower or a CL to decide this. I what is this chance you speak of I gave you your so called "chance" to knock off the insulting the entire server you did it again I muted you, then you decided you were done with your punishment so I upped it. So maybe it shouldn't have been a pmute since you only left once but its your damn attitude that your better than anyone so I'll leave this up to someone higher than me.

While the muting was legitimate, perma muting a regular without a warning is a TAD bit too extreme.

Alright whatever since just about every admin is saying it just unmute him, sprite screwed up. You deserved the mute but maybe not the perm mute but I'm only be bashed by everyone in here so whatever.
