Crackdown on Micspam.

Look, after what happened yesterday and the micspam thread yesterday from Sejo, I have to pretty much ask you guys what you would think about making the use of hldj in Zm...

I was also on yesterday and two people were just completely hogging the mic like there was no tomorrow, nothing was being done about it and I couldn't do anything about it cause I thought Arbys would just have a go at me for muting. I ended up leaving because I just had enough of listening to porn narratives.

I know this sounds bias, my personal opinion all along was to leave hldj to the admins only, and perhaps some special exceptions to regulars who play decent stuff. This does sound a bit harsh and bias, but it would lower the amount of micspam considerably, and usually micspam does force people onto other servers which has left our server relatively quiet most times.

Thoughts? Ideas? Im all ears.

Edit: I believe those who want to be exceptions should probably apply in the zm thread, and then people vote on it perhaps, they could list their main 'genres' or stuff of what they play, for people to consider.

Yeah I just mean micspam in general, on and/or off hldj but hldj seems to be the main cause. I guess my main problem revolved around what I think is unacceptable and what others may allow, I mean I was on the verge of just muting one of this guys spamming some dodgy shit but Arbys was there and he didn't do anything, which led me to think 'how the hell can he possibly allow this?'

You never once asked for a turn, and proceeded to get upset over the fact they had the same music as you, you could have played a song at any time and they would let you. The porn readings are excessive, and now that I know they also count as porn I will start enforcing it as such. I think everyone (even bronies who play mlp songs) deserves a chance to play a song or some funny sounds, but if they are doing it to troll, shock, or it just has really bad quality then they will get warned/muted depending on the severity of it. And of course if a single person doesn't like it, that person can just client-side mute them.
I would really try to keep hldj allowed for everyone on the server, and having the admins have as little bias as possible for what people play, but if the players abuse that privilege then action will be taken.

I don't know if this would be copying from another server or something, but one time I saw a bar that would eventually run out the longer your microphone was being used. It was effective. On TTT we have this problem too.

This will sound "rage" like.  The intent is not rage, but to explain why this action is in poor taste, bad judgement, and not in the best interest of the community.

Problem is this: You think it a "joke," while others find it offensive, leave the server, and do not come back. Being offensive to others is not "joking."
Creating an environment where others are uncomfortable, and do not want to be near CG servers, is not a "joke." Actions like yours cost us members, and support.
Actions like yours limits CG, gives us a bad reputation, and prevents fun. 
Remember: If it is fun at the expense of another, it is not welcomed here.
As a Community Leader, I had to react to this.  Why?  CG has a reputation to preserve.  Our reputation is key to the continuation of CG.  Too many people take offense,
they tell their friends, and do not play on our servers.  They won't donate to keep the servers going, and eventually, CG will end up having to shut down.
Why the no sexism rule?  CG prides itself in being OPEN. We are an OPEN COMMUNITY. This means we do not discriminate against players due to sex, race, or creed. 
We do not discriminate against sexual preference. We do not discriminate against age.  So, this type of action typically offends female players. That alone should be reason enough not to do such acts.
Also, it is impossible to block under 18 from playing on the servers. So. Next time you want to play stuff like this, ask yourself, would you want to play this for your 8 year old little brother?
Or in front of your mom?  Or in front of a girl you want to impress?  If not, then do not play it on a CG server.
The goal of CG is to have FUN.  Not insult others.
