World of Tanks

Ok, this is a "MMO" which does not play like one.  More like team deathmatch, with a little capture the base thrown in. 

FREE TO PLAY

GOOD GRAPHICS

GREAT GAME PLAY

LOW PING RATES

NO MAJOR LAG  (even with my weak DSL)

And you get to play as a tank.  I, also, see the Free to Play do not have a major disadvantage compared to pay players.

worldoftanks.com    Go there and download their ingenious download program, that uses (legal XD ) torrents to speed the download process.

This is something I def want to try out. Im a huge history buff esp WW2 so yeah but I think I'll wait til world of planes comes out

g2play has added premium codes for around 12 euro's.

Hmm.  I have played like 5 days.  So far I have 5 tanks, levels 1,2,3,4, and 5.  Level 1: The US Cunningham, cause its weird, I kept it. Level 2: The  German PzKpfw II, cause it has a great balance of speed, hits well, and often, and can take a hit.
Level 3: Is the lesser brother of the PzKpfw II, the PzKpfw Luchs, it hits harder, but is slower and less maneuverable.  The Level 4 is the Soviet A-20, blazing speed, tempered by getting killed by a single shot.  And the level 5 Soviet KV, a slow lumbering beast, that has a big gun and heavy armor...

Starting to look into the group tactics stuff, but one crucial game limit is "fighting on the same team as your friends"  If you are not Premium (pay to play) you are limited to one friend, if you are Premium, you can have 2 friends play in the same round...

I'm quite impressed by how well the game is made playable and still keeps the tanks in their respective classes I.e. a Sherman stands no chance against a KV-1 so naturally they won't let one be around the other.

Saw this game a long time ago, maybe a year or two. Thought it looked stupid, might have to try it out. Also another MMO, mythwar used legal torrents to dl, works well enough I must say.
