Certain programs crash when used and downloaded things get corrupted

So ever since I tired to download this anime episode ive been having lots of programs just crash on me whenever I try to use them and it seems like anything I download doesnt want to work and gets corrupted. I also have an issue where if i download something and put it on my desktop it wont let me delete it for some odd reason, saying I dont have permission. Need help!

LOL. Happens to me as well dude. I'm gussing you Downloaded a video or Media file of some sort opened it in windows media player and then said meh exited out and then Tried deleting the file?

It probably said something like "Perpareing to delete" then YOU DONT HAVE PREMISSION or something stupid.

To fix this...

CTRL - ALT - DELETE
Processes
 *wmplayer.exe
END PROCESS

Then try deleting the file.
Do you happen to have a G15 or G19 Keyboard btw? I believe its a symptom of the wmplayer app on that device that causes the media file not to exit properly.


As far as stuff crashing you please be more specific.

Scan with your AV like inject said.  Might want to grab spybot search and destroy and block any registry edits that.  you don't trust.

But yeah, like tendo said, I think it's better to stream unless your internet is bad.

I never stream. TERRIBLE VIDEO QUALITY uber laggy buffering tons of popups and room for browser exploits. Hate streaming sites terrible.

If i'm dling a video I want it to be available two months later for me to watch later in full screen WITH GOOD PICTURE QUALITY. Streaming is useless except for little dinky things like an episode of myth busters or something stupid. Other then I'll pass on going to lotsofpopsandspam.cn watching tons of Chinese subs while I try to watch a blurry shity buffered version of House or something. I'll pass -_-

divx streams arent that bad quality

@Inject no I dont have either one of those keyboards. Two specific things. I have downloaded a file to modify a game and it will not modify it then when I click on it again it will say it is corrupted and then I have to redownload it. The other is a program Freemake video converter (for my free fraps, need to convert it to post on youtube) Ill try to convert a video and it just crashes for no reason. I had the same problem too with FSX (Flight Sim 10) but managed to fix that

@Finnie: Yes I have that and malewarebytes and they have come up with nothing.

@rest: Because anime rocks, and it looks better if you download it.
