Please post ANY plugins you think should be on the server


I think I will be using bukkit admin mod (haven't had mc in the longest time so things have really changed since it's first release)

Stick with me as I am not familiar with the newer admin mods, settings and plugins.

Also any settings such as pvp on or off etc.....

I don't know the name of it, but the /lock command when pointing at doors and chests.

But how to protect the rest of your property? I liked the plugin on the last server than you chose the highest point on one end and the lowest on the other to select it all...

+1 this. That plugin is good as it doesn't allow you to rain say lava on people due to the nature of the plug in.

Also, have different ranks available to the players.

Player - Normal people, can't use lava and water buckets, flint and steel, TNT, ect...

Member - Signed up on forums on a specific thread, can use buckets

Admin -  Can use all of the above, can use commands appropriately to administrate the server.

Something like that

Is there a plug in for that? That would hands down be a great idea as well, as it would prevent the average joe from griefing. The only thing is that it kinda seems like we are forcing them to become part of CG, which isn't a bad thing necessarily.

Btw DBZ Kai still sucks

*SIDE NOTE

I will not be accepting ANY admin apps until the server is up and running (when it is fully announced)
(I will only be adding admins with a VERY high approval rating from their peers and have a near non existent history of admin abuse within CG)

minecraft is a game so have fun with it

it is nothing serious and everything you put on the server will be lost in probably a month to a years time

I will not want to get 'bogged' down by all of these childish complaints that come with the position.  I have other important things to do in CG.  If CG members CANNOT act appropriate than I will not put in my time and will shut down the server.  We are paying for this server externally from donations and we are all working without pay to ensure the best possible game quality.  All I ask in return is that you ATTEMPT to resolve any disputes before escalating it up the 'chain of command'.

In summary if you are causing a problem on the server and it becomes an issue than you will be banned and other possible consequences may result.  I hold CG members to a higher standard than random people joining lead by example.

Make it CG only, then it can have less slots and annoying retarded people that grief. Then everyone can have everything they want. I only really like the idea of minecraft multiplayer if it's CG only. Maybe we can have a public one also down the road sometime..

Pillz if what you're implying is a whitelist then I think no.

Whitelists are a general pain in the ass for both the people approving them and the people applying.  They also pretty much stop any chances of CG bringing in players with the server.  Besides if we have admins why do we need a whitelist?

Mob Disguise - Allow players to disguise as any mob even players. Should use permissions to only allow admins and maybe mods to use this plugin to monitor players

Faction Mod: allows to protect land, only allow players with 5-7 Power to restrict players from claiming too much land

Iconomy is also quite nice. If put together with shops and gaining money from killing monsters.

I'd like a more vanilla server.  No runecraft/RPG shit

mod disguise doesn't sound like something an admin would use.  If you suspect someone enough to become a sheep and follow around then you might as well get big brother and just set them as watched.  In any case, if this is added, I'll make sure to slaughter all mobs nearby me.

Please for the love of god no factions.  People just take over the map and the newbies have to leave civilzation in order to build.  Nothing's more welcoming then joining a server and realizing you can't touch anything within 10 miles.

And for iconomy usually doesn't seem to workout, because if you have a ton of diamonds you're rich.  If you have a currency you have nothing but a number.  If people don't want to sell to you it loses all value.  I'd much rather trade for something I need then a number.

well for factions remember u can change the power a person can have allowing them to claim 1 chunk of land to a whole a bunch. that is why we give each player like 2-4 power which lets them only claim about 2 chunks i think.

If everyone prefers vanilla sounds good to me.

Only problem lolnub is if somebody wants to build something big. Then what? Does it mean big projects are screwed due to griefing?
