Most people probably seen this on the news or stuff, according to those involved they are rebelling agains 'social injustice' for police killing a man on friday, there has now been 3 days of riots in London and is spreading, it's hit birmingham and leeds, and slightly Plymouth as I know so far.

Funny thing is, they broke into a pound shop here in plymouth, of all the places to rob eh?
Personally I think it's retarded, what do you guys think?

Vancouver riot was a riot about How a home team losing the Stanley Cup. They go out and torch some cars, broke some glass OK, drunk fans(idiots).

Now "England Riots" a riot about Social injustice? Has more meaning and sense than the Vancouver riot.

Therefore, The General riot itself is not so ridiculous.

This riot started after cops shot a kid involved in crime.

There not rioting because of this. They riot cause they want free shit and to torch stuff. The extent of this riot is much larger and the damage is huge. It will not solve any political or other issues.

Its such a joke. They claim to riot for social justice but the instant somebody starts using it as a cover to steal from people (esp mom and pop shops that have NOTHING to do with it) there is no credibility. People were asking the people why they took the stuff when and all they could say was, we're broke. Really?

Yes, they are broke.  They have zero chance at ever being anything else, but the poorest in the nation.  No opportunity, no jobs or very low wage jobs, poor education.  They are the "have nots" by definition.  They do not own property, and considering buying a 2 bedroom home would be in the hundreds of years for the average salaries of these - this is not likely to change.
The shooting may have been the trigger, but by no means is it the underlying cause...
Many of the rioters are the disenfranchised...

On a side note, England has better get things fixed, considering the Olympics are starting soon...

Yeah I understand that its true, the new generation is much worse off then the last. Stealing from somebody however is still wrong, no matter the circumstances (except to live, you don't need flatscreens to live!!) I dunno. Still not cool to break peoples shops when they didn't do anything and still def not cool to run over people with your car.

Saw on the news a block of shops - all were broken into and ransacked - except one... The bookstore.
