Help: Virus

I've fallen for a stupid virus trap. The "windows recovery"  program is a fucking virus.

I googled it if it was a trap. But there wasn't enough evidence. I didn't saw the copyright sign either.
Anyway, I got it on a pc on school to (lol)

Hard Drive Failure

The system has detected a problem with one or more IDE / SATA hard disks.
It is recommended that you restart the system.

I used the virus aka " windows recovery " and now there are possible documents lost.
I tried to run it in safe mode. But it got stuck on the flikkering " _ " (underscore)

Any help thoughts.

Luckily my OWN pc isn't infected (yet)
But my parents pc is fucked up now.

Um.  Do you have a "recovery dvd" or something similar from the manufacturer?   This may allow you to fix the system.

An anti-virus program, self booting, from cd/dvd.

Yea I am trying to search the disk lol.

Nothing will compare to Malwarebytes and some decent skills and knowledge.

Work at a PC shop for 3-4 Months And you'll never get a virus again. That's what I did XD!

i got the same virus.. cleaned it up with malware bytes in 5 mins... my files appeared to be lost.. but they where just hidden. not lost

Well the funny thing is. My current anti-virus (NOD32 (lol old, and bad) ) detected 2 virussus but didn't put them in quarantine or removed them.

I don't know the hell why. But it's just being gay.
And I am thinking I'll just set Norton on my parents PC. So they practically get warnings all popped over their faces.

(or i'll just check out malwarebytes)

Microsoft Security Essentials (I know I know, MC is scary, but they actually did good this time)
Maybe AVG, but they've been cashing out recently, and I'm not too happy with them.
Spybot S&D, not really necessary, but it's nice to have some extra security.

it should be fine in 3-7 days time depending on the virus.
