Input on Forum Rules and Consequences

Ok. After the recent oversteps of some on here, I believe there is a need to show set consequences, for forum rule violations.

As this is an open community, I wish your input on the matter.

Here is a list of violations and consequences.  Please advise which you think too harsh, or too soft, and why.

Yes, I will be pulling on the reigns a little bit, as people get carried away on just what the intentions are behind written type.  No, the CLs/Head Admins have not pushed me to act.  The actions of several here have...

Why am I doing this?  Well, the obvious recent events, plus past ones, show there needs to be a uniform and clear response to people overstepping forum rules.

This way, no one can complain of favoritism, or being singled out.

So.  Please be serious. 

NOTE: CG WIDE BANS = Forums, gaming servers, and vent...


VIOLATION:      AND      CONSEQUENCE:               
HACKING   A long standing no-no, posts on “how to,” who you have, or who you will hack will result in an IMMEDIATE CG WIDE PERMABAN.  This rule had been enforced long ago, and will now be back.

CYBER BULLYING/ PHYSICAL THREAT   Due to the severity of this action, and the possibility of following through, LEGAL AUTHORITES WILL BE NOTIFIED, and a CG WIDE PERMABAN will ensue.
 
RAGE QUITTING If you are not mature enough to hold your temper, you do not belong here. Posting you are rage quitting is a CG WIDE PERMABAN.

PERSONAL ATTACKS     No longer tolerated here. 1st Violation: 1 WEEK FORUM BAN.  2nd Violation: 2 WEEK CG WIDE BAN.  3rd Violation: CG WIDE PERMABAN.

GRIEFING on the Forum   Same as Personal Attacks.

PORN /SEXUALLY EXPLICIT Due to the Forum Host’s hypersensitivity on this subject, any pictures,images, videos, and discussions considered Not Safe For Work, cannot be posted here. Pass through posts (linking to other sites) is also forbidden. 1ST Violation: 1 DAY FORUM BAN. 2nd Violation: 1 WEEK FORUM BAN. 3RD Violation: 2 WEEK CG WIDE BAN. 4th Violation: CG PERMABAN

SEXISM/RACISM NOT TOLERATED HERE: Same as Personal Attacks

ADVERTISING SPAM   Do not advertise here for another Community or Clan, or use the Forum for any other form of advertising for profit.  1st Offense FORUM PERMABAN

PIRATED SOFTWARE / MUSIC   Big no-no. Do not believe me? Look up "Troll Lawsuits." Due to the Trolling of Forums to find people to sue over illegal software, there will be no posting of it here, and no linking, or pass through posts. Consequences are same as Porn Posting.

ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES   Any illegal activity posts must be solely on the values of whether, or not, illegality should be.  Posting activities such as drug use, underage drinking, underage sex, pride posts on illegal acts you got away with, etc., are forbidden. Consequences are the same as Porn Posting.

MISUSE OF PRIVATE MESSAGING Using the private messaging service to grief, abuse, or personal attack will not be tolerated.  In addition, using the service to advertise, in any manner, is prohibited.  Consequences are these: Same as Personal Attack, or same as Advertising Spam.
 
Please Note:  We had not wanted to go this route. However, due to the misguided belief the Forum can be used to post anything, these consequences will occur.  Consider this announcement post as the initial warning.

Why are Placing pornographic images and links not as  harsh then Personal attacks I mean its not like Porn links and images cant have are forums  taken offline.

So what defines a personal attack? In a thread a few minutes ago I was being a smartass and said "You win the award for most educated opinion" and Cheezy replies with fuck you you cunt, etc, I mean yes I was being a dick but like- passive aggressively...

Illegal activities- I always understood why it would be unwise to post stuff like drugs online for your own safety and whatnot, but what, would the forums get in trouble? Why can grasscity and other places host their marijuana forums on how to smoke and whatnot but we can't?

I Don't understand why a rage quit = full perma ban but I agree with the rest

Rage quiting is something that goes on here alot, and it is needed for many leaders to see their flaws, half of the shit that has happened to change leadership has been changed due to rage quiting by people who have a high status in CG.
Looks back towards own rage quit that made us start the long needed fight for HA and so forth. =P

Also Theres two types of rage quitting.
1) You are pissed of so you cuss everyone out and leave
and
2) Some one is making you angry so you leave to calm down. (Forums: Close the borwser. Vent: Close Ventrillo. Servers: Join a diffrent server or walk away till your calm.)
