My laptop keeps losing memory?

My hard disk memory keeps decreasing little by little, it was literally just 171, now it is 170?

I had a thought it might be Wegame, where it takes up a lot of memory (but not as much as Fraps), and how I just uploaded an eight minute video to YouTube after using Wegame.

But I'm not sure.

I'm using an HP Windows 7 Laptop 64-bit

Computers save temp files, which can add up, Steam constantly updates and gets BIG. Windows updates, pretty much your laptop isn't losing memory, you're just un-knowingly using more up.

Well is there a way to get it back, without completely uninstalling Steam? Because it's going down at a pretty decent rate.

Try to remove the older temp files on your computer's hard drive.   There are several free utilities which will do this for you.

Go through your downloaded files and delete old installers (like your old Firefox 3.6 installer, etc.)

Those two steps should help dramatically.

Wow, did not expect this.

I ran a scan and fixed the registry issues it found.

I chose no to making backups.

I just went onto a horoscope thing on Facebook because I was bored,

and on the bottom it said, "You will have tiny problems with computers today, BACKUPS BACKUPS BACKUPS"
