Coding, an easy start?

I've become interested in trying my hand at coding. I was wondering what language would be a good start? Something easy to learn and use but is still useful. I'll probably end up doing HTML next year in High School but for the time being I want to learn as much as I can now to be able to make some productive this summer.
As for what I want to code, something along the lines of game related things like coding mods or other various things used in certain games, etc.

So, any suggestions?

Start with Java, bro. it's the easiest. Theres a tutorial site here http://www.thenewboston.com/?cat=36&pOpen=tutorial    the guy is really helpful in teaching java. better than my com sci teacher.
