Do you have past admin experience: Yes, i owned my own GMod server running sandbox and DarkRP for about 3 months before i couldn't pay for the server anymore, and was admin on Pulsar Effect RP (They ran the official PERP 1, PERP 2, GMR and GMP servers) for 6 months before constant DDoS caused the servers to be shut down by the owner. Admin on CG TTT currently.

What are some good qualities you possess:If someone accuses somebody of breaking a rule, instead of playing and shrugging it off, i will go through any logs, evidence etc to get to the bottom of what happened. I also don't ban for any small offense, i prefer to kick or slay somebody at least 2 times before a ban, even then it would probably be a 1-2 hour ban, unless they broke masses of rules and intentionally avoided a ban by leaving or changing names, then i would give a 24 hour ban most likely.

Do not affiliate or align yourself with hackers ddosers of anything of the such do not ddos anyone or hack anyone any further reports of hacking or affiliation with ddosing will result in a swift removal from CG under the terms of being affiliated with hacker/ddoser


CG IS NOT a hacking minging trolling or ddosing community even if they threaten ddosing them would just instigate a giant ddos war to which CG would take a major hit

This i am being 100% serious about If someone is threatening to ddos the server do your job as admin and wish him a good day and perma ban him but anything after that is crossing the lines

It was just a dumb skiddie, he can't do shit to take down the servers for more than a few minutes, the only reason I did that is because there were no admins on the darkrp at the time and none on my steam friends, anyway he didn't know it was me lol. Won't do it in the future, was just the only way of protecting the server at the time.

Um.  No. Re-read what Whole stated.  ANY hacking and DDoS, and / or any other form of internet attacking others, is a BIG NO-NO.   Why?   Hmm. Well, let us put it this way.  It violates the law.  If it is across state lines, it is a Federal crime.

Having CG linked to a DDoS attack is one of the worst things that could happen to CG... We would become targets.

Why is Cadaver railing on you? Because I know you are smarter than this, and did not think it through.  Just because some snot nosed kid threatens the server, does not mean he can do anything to actually impact the server.

Well he pasted my IP so it was either take him down before he took me down, or have no internet for a few hours. The only way he could get my ip was net_showevents 1 in console, which means he'd have to have forced sv_cheats 1, so he had some form of hack too.

Next time, if someone threatens you like this, get his IP if you can, and steam ID. So he can be banned from the server, and reported to his ISP for law violations.   Did you report this event to the Head Admin, as this DDoS threat may have risen to the level of ban?

There were no admins on at the time, either way, its long over and done with, it was just some skiddie using that stupid ddos program thats circulating around the gmod community.

Next time, I suggest you say this:
I am sorry. I did not know there could be big, negative repercussions to CG, for asking some kid to DDoS someone else on one of our servers.  I will not do this again in the future.

That would have been the best reaction to this situation.
