More formal/organized promotions

As it stands, admin promotions are giving out with no word to people who have either proven themselves to earn the next rank or have been previous rank for a long amount of time. in my opinion I think we should expand and look into our promotion system a lot more. Perhaps a place for announce a rank up? each thread could be dedicated to an admins promotion. As for the earning the rank, I know we have some guidelines on the ranks and how to earn them but to add to the promotion section idea we could sticky a thread that contains the steps and requirements to become a higher rank of admin.

So, to hightlight my main points:

•More formally announce promotions
•Forums section dedicated to announcing promotions
•More thourgh guidelines on attaining a promotion (sticky topic in section)

Now, sounds a little stupid to put much effort into this but I think it's a good idea to give admins an idea of how we handle them. I'm not able to play games with you but I'm still here to provide help in the forums and better our community itself with planned improvments.

Anyways, thoughts and ideas on this?

Maybe for earlier stages of admin like Trial - to Regular have an automated system that also announces it as well as changes rank based on time from original start date.

Perhaps with the option for community leaders to approve the automation before being final for a last chance review.

It might keep everyone on top of promotions.

this once again is an effect of being overwhelmed i know if i don't do it nobody else will and keeping track of 50+ admins and so many new people i can't keep up with that and trying to do other things i need a bit of help with this


im already stretched to the point i have to pick and choose what to do and somethings won't get done to be honest for months from now unless i get help

Have it automate on the forums, with the option to extend their trial period a week. In case we aren't sure yet, then when the announcement happens, someone with the power, will update them on the server they have admin. An automated admin promotion plugin on a server sounds like a bad, and possibly buggy idea..

i have a few problems that need "abstract" ways of thinking

Automation wouldn't be necessary, I could stay on top of the updating. If I get a new computer that is. Otherwise some sort of autmated forums bot would work best.

This is a short term solution it is enough to suffice for now and the forseeable future (3 months probably)

but what if we double even triple our community admin population?
