Why is my microphone so sensitive, even though it's so quiet?

Headset as in including mic or just headphones?
If just headphones, go with something like the Grado SR60i or Sennheiser HD555.

My headset has tape all around it to stop it from breaking in half.
Its great.

All of mine are expesive as hell and for every other person on ttt its either to low or to high.
Though it dosent happen on css/Dfo/wow or anything else. hmmm
