That's generally what I do on ZM, add something, see how it works, see if people like it and tweak it based on feedback.

I don't see any problem with how Cortez did this.

Also: Almost every game on Sourcemod only gets 5 maps to choose from on mapvotes, so you guys have it easy if you get more

I said this before and I'll say it again, if there were only 2-8 maps each vote, it would be hugely beneficial. Even with the current setup, one 'popular' map is in it no matter what. Thus, it gets picked instead of any other map. I feel 4 or 5 maps per vote would be much better.
Plus, if people don't like the map picked, they can !rtv or !votemap.

Honestly, I don't see what the problem is here. The fact that the map vote plugin being changed isn't really a big deal in my opinion. Not to mention that we always play the same couple of maps everyone always vote for.

I haven't noticed, but does anyone know if this new map vote play the correct amount of maps? Because with the last map vote the voting would come up 1-3 rounds early.

Well, the voting has been closed and we have a tie... I upped the count some but not as high as it was before.
