Heavy Balls, why this server shouldn't be invested into

So, as it was pointed out in the CG meeting, Heavy Balls was suggested as a server.

More servers? Sure, no problem, except for this game mode.

Its dead, literally dead.


Out of the four servers that actually host this game mode, they have no population. If we look at them on gametracker, they are fucking barren as shit.

So, what I'm saying is, lets not even invest our time, or resources, into servers which will not do what we need, and thats drawing in population to CG.

I am going with Kwaurtz on this one. I would like to see new game modes and servers, but since this game is so dead there isn't much point to it. The only people that would be playing on it would be CG guys.

It's some Garry's Mod gamemode, and yeah, we shouldn't invest money in servers that won't get played.

Mind you I suggested this when it first came out, and people were flocking to it much more than they are now.

At this point, I would agree not to even try it.

It was pointed out during the meeting. Nowhere do I see people 'flocking to it' as otter has said, but Inject mentioned something about putting up a new server soon on teamspeak, so I did some investigation on it like I try to do for most things I don't know about, and voila.

For a while there was a test server before it originally released. It was a hit on there and was something new for people to play. However about 2 weeks after the release, it died pretty hard. I never remembered to talk to inject about it afterwards, but yeah, bad idea now to put up a server.

We brought it up at the meeting because it's the only thing really suggested besides OC and NS2. We need to find a new game that we can all play together soon though, free games are preferred but eh I'll get a paycheck one day.

Wasn't Eternal Silence dead too? Prop hunt and fretta sounds good but I think we had some issues with fretta in the past.
