Tekkit Server

RalphORama, a friend of Soap's has a Tekkit Classic server he's willing to partner with CG like Sqtgdog did. Because it's Tekkit, of course it won't be the 1.7.2 version we play on Sqtgdog's server but instead it will be PRE-1.3, but loading Tekkit classic sets up many plugins and mods for you; adding a whole lot to the game.

To play Tekkit classic you download the Tekkit launcher and select Classic from the left selection area, then click play. After that you'll be at the Minecraft launcher and you add Tekkit Multiplayer server IP's or play single player from there. It's really easy!

If anyone's down to try it, I would be glad to set up a whitelisting thread for Ralphs server; I've played on it for a short while today and it seems fine to me. I don't feel this should be too much of a problem for the vanilla players since Sqtgs server is a little laggy atm and I imagine people who've been playing 1.7.2 would like to continue playing with the horses and stained glass and whatnot. :p

IF you are gonna play tekkit you might want to get the sphaxCDcraft TPack for it cause it makes it so much better instead of the default Tpack Instead. Just in case if anyone wanted to know!

Currently:

• Essentials (Core, Econ, Chat, Protect)
• LogBlock
• ProperTime (Daytime extender)
• Worldedit, Worldguard

I'll make a more in-depth list and stuff since I've been told I might get a sub-forum. Out of the plugins I listed currently Essentials and ProperTime are set up correctly, I still need to work out sqlite with LogBlock and Worldedit/worldguard permissions and plot creation.
Creepers still exist, but they don't damage blocks when they explode, just players/mobs. Not sure what you mean by insta-chopper, but I'll look into if if you clarify

All in all, I'm just trying to get MySQL to work for Logblock and after that I'll open up the server to whitelist apps

Haha I was just asking how people feel about doing it! Clearly everyone's excited and wants to play so I'll set up a Child Board in the MC forum for his server too with the IP, and a proper whitelist request thread.

I'll move everyone who already asked into a list on that thread but this thread is merely just announcing his server and discussion on having a Tekkit server.
