Firefall!

So there is an MMO my friend introduced me to called Firefall
Now before you say "Bleh another WoW clone MMO Mnehdebleh" It is not. This game has no quest line besides the tutorials, it is completely open and you can do whatever you want.

- No levels
- No progress restrictions
- Open World
- You can change classes (suits) on the fly

This game is a shooter, and you can switch between Third person and First Person with the [Middle Mouse Button]

This game is in very early beta so there are bugs abound and things are subject to change, but it's an extremely fun game.

I first read about this on shacknews about a year and a half ago.  From what I've read about alpha and beta it has a lot of potential.  I kept meaning to try it but when I got my invite to the MWO closed beta I got distracted.  Glad to see its doing well.

As a heads up, this game is quite Graphics intensive. I've been using a GTS 250 for 3 years and it is having trouble running this game on low, this is the first time I've seen that I need a new graphics card too. Hoping to get a GTX 660 by this weekend.

I played it for 2 weeks straight and then I realized I was lost, there was nothing to do but explore and thump.  This was about 6 months ago.

I like the graphics and the mechanics of fighting, but I do not like how boring it is. I am not a PvP heavy guy so that was not very appealing to me.

I feel like there is a lot of gap between knowning WTF is going on and playing.

Like I have no explaination for the suits and what I should be upgrading and I feel like I am just blindly upgrading my suit and don;t kno why.

Yeah the stats are better, but damn is it really that simple?

ANyway it is worth a go.

This is pretty much my opinion of any MMO ever, yeah its cool and fun at first but then it wears off and its like, what am I doing here?  Am I actually doing anything interesting? 

Same reason I didn't get into Defiance, looked cool but after watching my friends play it a few times I was glad I didn't as it just seems so repetitive.
