Sony. The PS4 does not require an online connection and you can play used games on it, or rather share games between friends. It will be interesting to see how MS responds to this, but knowing their history, its going to be along the lines of "screw you guys, we do what we want"

Honestly until I see an exclusive game I give a crap about, (none so far) I have no reason to game anywhere but PC.  Used to be I gamed only on PC except for Nintendo stuff, but the WiiU is flat out dumb so I stopped with consoles completely.


Also note the steambox is sounding like it will be double the price of the other consoles

The PC, as far as I'm concerned, is vastly superior but it can do much more then a console can (although with the Xone and PS4, the lines are being blurred). I wouldn't consider it part of that great war between Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft and Sega.

No I'm dead serious. Obviously they have been out since the Dreamcast, but they were a big player for a while. Sure you could probably list all the other companies that made consoles, but it was the 4 that I listed that had the best chance of making it, and were the most mainstream.

Don't forget, when the Genesis came out, it went neck to neck with Nintendo. The Saturn was a complete failure, but the Dreamcast was doing well before the PS2 completely wrecked it.

I wouldn't say that. The were soundly defeated by Sony, and when the Xbox came out it was the final nail in the coffin. Sure they didn't go out of business but would you want to continue to lose money until you're gone or salvage what you have left and continue to make more money?

Well this is interesting. Keep in mind that Xbox is going to have to offer something else in order to stay in competition so who knows, maybe it will be awesome?
