Aside from Crow's math problem, no one was debating, all someone said was how it wasn't actually stupid of those props. That isn't a debate.

Simply listing the names of the "stupid" props it hardly thread worthy. There will invariably be some sort of "debate" concerning them, at the very least some light discussion. The thread at hand is not a debate thread, as it concerns a very broad topic with many ramifications. That does not mean, however, that it cannot have debate-like mature discussions within.

Let's get back on topic.

My country's politically leading party wishes to force private suburban districts to give away 10% of their land to social planning ventures, which have proved to be disastrous ideas over and over again.

It isn't about debating. No one's debating. Regardless, I'm pretty sure that thread is long gone or locked.

All I know is someone mentioned it and a couple people said whether or no they liked it.  You wrote two paragraphs and started giving us your thoughts/beliefs.  If someone decided to respond to that this would easily become a debate.

Anyway, I don't really know the propositions brought up by my state [Pennsylvania] so I can't truly contribute a whole lot. That also being said, if someone could give me a link to dem props, I'd love you forever.

@Skies: Yes that is true, but for the context of the death plenty I think that would be the exception to the rule for this thread, along with *hint* "other" topics.

What kind of social projects are we talking about? Building a community center?

I don't know, I thought you were the one that knew the states proportions.

We "debate" about countless things outside the debate thread, we only really have the section for serious debates and so there's a different expected maturity and attitude from posters. If the original post brushes against the death penalty, we should be able to discuss it. What difference does it make if we say it here or there? I don't think it's worth necroing a thread over or worse, further derailing the thread with something else to argue upon.

You guys need to be more proportional about these propositions now.
