What are the server requirements to run a NS2 server?

On UK worlds they say a 24 slotter can run on a 4.4GHZ core i7 Processor.

You are going to tell me that I need to O/C my proc to run your fucking server?

What are the realistic specs? what are we currently running on? I will see if I have anything of value.

Our server runs at 20% performance or lower at peak times. It actually does take quite a bit.

But I doubt you guys have a 4.4GHz overclocked i7 processor in your server rig.

More like a 3.0ghz quad core xeon or the like.

Let me know what the specs are Things may turn out a bit better than I imagine.

Right now my Servers are all offline the entire Community I run is in hibernation. I have moved out of my apartment and I cannot power up the cabinet even though I had recently aquired two megaton 3/4u servers :(

Also if I remember correctly you guys are running everything on windows on one instance of an OS.

If you use VMware ESX you could maximize the use of the system and have multiple systems flowing as well as use Linux to save overhead -_- all on one piece of hardware.

2.8 quad core xeon, old, and decrepit, by today's standard. 

We need a more modern 1U rack mountable server box, preferably with 2 modern Quad core Xeons, and a bunch of ram. I need to ask Inject how much it would be to get more space at the co-location.

What do you have Wooley?

I wish I had a place to house the big boxes so I could power em up and just host a couple servers for you guys.

Maybe when I move the Washer I will also find a place for my Box to sit.

We also run a 20 slot not a 24, but yes NS2 does take above average resources to run.
