Though I haven't really played them, Silent Hill is pretty terrifying at times

I was serious, bright coloured, unfinished landscapes and the most retarded and odd enemies ever. Shit got scary.

No, Bubsy is a 2d platformer, it's decent, but i wouldn't call it GOOD really. Bubsy 3d is where nightmares spawn.

Silent Hill makes me lul. Since there isn't much ammo, pretty much all you do is run around enemies. I found it so entertaining that all I would do was that and not really anything else. There was one thing though that just freaked me out so badly I turned off the station in horror without saving.. The mirror room. And you know what I'm talking about.

Most of Silent Hill is psychological horror, so it is just the experience, the sounds and the visual keys that scare you. Often waaaay more so than the monsters you actually meet.
