Voter ID laws: Do they really do anything

Just like the title says

Nope, they are a roadblock to democracy, just another tool used by our friendly politicians to disallow certain (hint) Americans to vote.

Fun fact: there are basically no instances of voter fraud in the U.S.

So why in the hell are we allowing it to pass? Does anybody else find it ironic that the party that wants smaller government wants more government involvement in "voter fraud"

Yes, typically, they block the poor, and elderly from voting.  Typically, the race most negatively impacted by such legislation is American-African.   Typically, the Republican party pushes these laws through.  Because, typically, the ones negatively impacted rarely vote Republican.  Typically.

Its just a majority of republican politicians that are making it so that people who won't vote for them can't vote for the opposite runner.

Voter ID Laws are useless, cheaters will still find a way to cheat no matter what. I don't even believe in democracy to be honest.

But that's just it, it isn't to stop people from cheating the vote its to stop certain kinds of people from voting at all.
