People trying to register and being denied for spam

Sometimes when people register on the forum it says their email/IP is spam and doesn't let them register, why is this?

Was talking to someone on server today who wants to register, but he cant'.

Can't CLs disable this spam filter thingy? You guys should.

Anyway I got this guy on my friends list on steam, someone should fix this and lemme know.

Because bots were never a problem before right?
Sorry, but try making names that aren't basic names that spambots would use like "bob" "sam" "viagra".

Basically don't use real life names or other easy stuff (granted Jorgen is a real life name, but a rather odd and unique one so that is different).
1. It is more anonimous if you use a more Username like name. like for example my nickname Kleenex. 2. On some things it is safer using names like that, granted not so much on this forum but still. 3. This is the easiest way CG can avoid a shit ton of spam bots, because if you do not remember those plagued the forum for a long time in the begining and it got old real fast.

My original forum name was Code before I changed it and then Wholegrain/Inject/whoever made it so we can't change names anymore..?

It's almost always the user name. However under some rare circumstances certain Email company's are blocked completely for spam. Examples include many .RU email services. However, once again not very many people would use these.
