Awful. Horrible. It jams parts from the first three books into one movie making a wholly incoherent plot which ends, predictively, in disaster. The original story is barely respected, and many important details are either omitted, deleted or modified in some gut wrenching way. The lead actor, who portrays Darren Shan, has an extremely poor performance. If you wish to watch this movie, torrent it. And I encourage that, if you read the books, get them out of your mind while watching the movie, for you will be massively disappointed if you try to find reasonable similarities.

The Twilight movies are crap. The books were entertaining. Not GREAT reading material, but the sort of book you devour. The story, although predictable and simple in some parts, managed to attract your attention. The movies have destroyed the plot, making it silly, gliche and ultimately boring.

I read the four books, in Spanish and in English, and bought the special hardcover version, box included. I have always been a fan of Vampire stories (Read the 12 books of Darren Shan Cirque du Freak), and Mayer gave me fresh content, with a different viewpoint, which I found quite interesting. Have you read the books, yahtzee? Because I believe you cannot make such a harsh assumption, if you have not.
