Space Station 13

A great game developed for a gaming platform thingy. Space Station 13 is amazing and hilarious. It requires basic roleplay skills (like knowing the difference between IC and OOC, and is surprisingly complex in the number of jobs + ways you can kill people. There are several game types, two involving traitors described as "syndicates" but whatever.

The best server I've played on is here. (Wait a minute, does advertising a non-competing server still breaking the rule?) They're not great for their content, but they're what we are. People fed up with the shit communities that thing they're better than everyone else because they've managed to get their hands on better code and content.

So i just tried playing this gayness seems the learning curve is pretty deep. I was a detective and really had no idea wtf i was doing. The point and click menu's are rather silly.

I love the idea, really shocked to experience lag too.. People play so much RP around here Is there any real objectives to it?

Yeah, the learning curve is pretty high. I spent my first rounds when I was dead (which was a lot) reading up on almost every page on the wiki.

There are objectives, just not every player has one out of the ordinary. Your average player just has to do his job and keep the station running in harmony, but a few select players are assigned a secretive objective in one of the game modes here.

You may also want to read up on jobs. If you want to understand what you're supposed to be doing.

And yes, the controls can be bothersome, 99% of the time.

And the lag would shock me too. It's pretty uncommon, and is only noticeable when combined with a loose singularity core and some server updates.

Good point, I agree. I was dreadfully confused as well when I first played, and no one was there to show me around. So I really shouldn't be helping people complaining about the controls.
