A runaway train with two passengers speeds toward a bridge over a deep canyon. The bridge is destroyed, and if the train continues on its course then the two passengers will die. You have the chance to throw the switch and divert the train onto a different track where a single man is working on the rails. If you choose to divert the train then you will murder the worker, but the two passengers will survive. If you choose not to intervene then worker will live, but the passengers will die. There are no other options. What do you do?

Not neccesarily true. By killing that one man you may have ruined a family and caused htem to all die off.

If it is a runaway train I wouldn't do anything. There is no saying it won't hit another train.

I would let them die. They made the choice to get on a train and it was bad luck. I would not endanger more people (willingly kill another) to possibly save the person. It would have to be 100% chance that only one would die.

i mean saving either one will result in you killing someone then why not let the train run the worker over since it will not go off the broken bridge.
