Well, recently we had a player, a member of my clan in fact, hacking on our server.
We have a strict no hacking policy.

He was removed from the clan, and banned.
The two admins who game him permission were also punished.
One was banned, one lost admin for a week(Soft on him, but hes been good)
The admin who was banned did it himself, before voluntarily leaving the clan.

Now, due to a logging error, the bans have been unwritten, but the other punishments still remain. So here is my question.

Should the hacker be allowed to stay unbanned and allowed to rejoin the clan?

but regardless of that I think its more about what your standards are. If you are ok with these people, and it was all in good fun, let it slide, if you are really ok with it.

If this is not something you would normally condone on your server. Then ban them.

I mean if it was someone exploiting, or being dumb ....... i could forgive that depending on the circumstance. But hacking? negative damage to players or server.... thats rough on you.

make them be banned for like 2- 4 months. If they still wanna be unbanned then i would do it since i have experience of being banned. And if that dont change them then they will never change.

I would say, see if he stais with you guys in forums and so forth, participates in the forum and tries to earn his way back in, maybe if you get a new server see if he participates and does good in that one =)

then i have one question why did you post this in this forum, and what clan are you from?

I think you should let them back in, but he/she can't be expected to be treated nicely, after all they hacked the server.  I wouldn't want to go back if I wasn't welcome, then again I wouldn't get banned, let alone hack.
