Questions about AVAST antivirus

2. it is not virus ridden it is pretty commonly used...
3. it is rather slow but if you have time then sure =P

I've used Avira, Avast and AVG all of them seem like they are bullshit because they all miss stuff other catch. I've yet to find something that doesnt report false negatives or miss shit. FAIL SCANNERS FAIL.

1. I have it and love it
2. it is awesome and no viruses, also it uses very little resources compared to others (norton is meh, AVG is a RESOURCE HOG)
3. only time a virus ever gave it problems Avast restarted the computer and did a virus scan BEFORE loading windows so the virus couldnt do anything but get deleted.  Also if theres malicious code on a website (viruses in temp files from banner ads for example) it gives a warning popup from which you can avoid connecting to that shit.
4. miles better than mcafee, AVG, or norton which I used before
5. WTF you smoking there Leon?  Ive never experienced it miss anything, or report improperly, and if whatever you use now is so hot shit why not share what its called at least =P

Thanks chris so far this antivirus kicks ass and uses next to nothing cpu usage... another awesome thing that i LOVE is that you can scan individual files

I used to have it. I switched over to Avira which detects better but is kinda shit for removing them.

avast is the best free anti virus hands down
that mixed with windows 7 and fireforx or chrome and your good
havent had 1 virus on my comp or anything else it catches it all the time
never had a problem
auto updates with no inconvience (just updates and tells you its done you dont notice anything but a bar that pops up saying it updated)
