My argument was that a permaban seemed excessively harsh, and I thought that homophobia may have played a role (mentioned elsewhere: homophobia is something gaymers deal with regularly) .
As for bringing his age into this, and what I said in the original post, I thought bringing his age into my post seemed relevant. Attacking his aptitude for moderation, I'll admit wasn't the best thing to do. For what it's worth, I wrote it minutes after being banned, and seeing I had been permabanned, so I was extremely upset, and didn't think it through fully, which I apologize for.
To be clear on the warnings that were issued, I did not mean to say they didn't happen, if I did, but rather I didn't see them. I check the dev console after each hidden kill, and change sprays for each map change. When I became aware of the warning is when my friend mentioned that he had been slapped, at which point I had already put my spray back up. About 20 seconds later, I was banned.
I have said a couple times here, that I think I deserve a ban, I broke the rules, and I can see that. I just think a permaban is excessive. As you pointed out, standard guideline is a 1 day ban for my offense, which is what initially led me to believe that other factors may have come into play when deciding my initial punishment.

Considering the fact you are attempting to make the fact that you were using a porn spray in the first place justified by saying that anyone who says anything negative about is is homophobic. The homophobia has nothing to do with the spray, if it comes across that way it's not my intention. What I was saying was that, it seems that may have been a factor in why he went straight for a permaban, instead of a time ban. I only say this because I've seen it happen before, and have been personally treated differently online due to homophobia. It happens. To further go into this, you have no proof that Echo issued no warning on the subject matter I have no way to :/ Another thing is that you do not understand that online games such as this are moderated at the discretion of the people running the servers. Here the ESRB does not hold any power. The ESRB inclusion was in response to one of the posters bringing up distribution of porn, not speaking about the moderation. These are just some things I had gathered and I believed he needs to be banned but For no more that a week I agree, I am not saying that I didn't break the rules, or that I shouldn't receive a punishment. I just think that a permaban is overreaching. As I have said, if I had received a time ban I would have no reason to post here. All that said, thank you for your input. I am really glad to see that these posts are looked at

How about we all calm down and wait for the Head Admin to weigh in before continuing? I'll keep an eye out for that, thanks

I do find it confrontational. There are plenty more constructive ways to go about this. Properly appeal your ban. Join the community. And then properly post an admin abuse or admin disapproval thread as a member of the community. Everyone knows attacking an admin in a ban appeal does not help your appeal. Is posting to the ban appeal thread, not the place to appeal my ban? Also I had to join the community to post here in the first place. There is no attacking here, simply providing all the facts that seem relevant. The only thing you seem to have taken offense to was including the age of the admin in question, which seems perfectly relevant to me. But i'll just leave it there.

You keep saying that it takes till the end of the map for the spray to actually change. Yes, I changed it just before the ban, because the guy I was playing with mentioned over mumble he had been slapped. Then the ban happened. I keep asking why you went straight for a permaban, but it still hasn't been addressed.

17 and 18 is a year difference. I am not sure what the relevance of this is. This has also turned into, criticizing the perceived tone of my appeal, as opposed to a discourse on it's content.

Just saying, yaoi/yuri/anything in between all counts as porn, and it's also a criminal offense to distribute porn to minors. A spray is far from distribution, if so, than any ISP that allows access to porn would be shutdown under this same rule. Nor would GTA be aloowed to be sold Further, the game The Hidden is built on has an M rating from the ESRB which is defined as: MATURE Content is generally suitable for ages 17 and up. May contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language. Anyway, again, as there was no map/game change, there was no way to show a changed spray. If a time ban had been applied I wouldn't even be here, as I have said he was in his rights to ban, but a permaban is not fitting to the offense (especially for never having had any prior offenses). Just gonna say this once real quick. If you had properly appealed your ban, I would have no problem with reducing or taking your ban away. However, your confrontational approach to it is what has me up in arms. I find it's the people who confront their bans rather than opt to have them properly reviewed are the ones who end up repeat-offending. I'm not making any predictions about your character. That is just the facts I've gleaned from past experience. I am sorry if you find my approach confrontational, I simply have been responding to what has been posted, along with facts of the situation. No different from what I have received.

Guy is obviously deserving of some of it, but you gotta stop acting so rashly. Thank you! All I was trying to point out.

First off. This is a rule on the MotD. The very last one I believe. It says "No inappropriate sprays" - that could mean anything, it's exceedingly vauge. It was not porn, it was yaoi. Just because he's 17 does not mean he's not cut out for the job nor that his bans would be any harsher than the rest of us. Not saying that he isn't cut out, just a possible factor here, though given you being 16 it would make sense why you would be personally offended. the console warnings - which are displayed in very large font across each player's screen Well that just never happened, unless he did it while I was In my settings changing my sprayIn my experience, older admins are more likely to be balanced in punishment, just an observation. @Echo No, it was 4 rounds, your friend left after you got banned because he wanted to play with you. He stayed on there for another round, I was talking with him on mumble. And again, no justification for a permaban. Kindly, Lucky

I am not in disagreement with this, he would certainly be within what would be fair. Even though I got confirmation from the friend that he indeed was slapped, I never had any notification for this, nor was I given the ability to wait for a map change to modify my spray. Just outright permaban.
That's why I am hoping to get this seen by a senior admin. All I am asking. Conjoint servers account for most of my playing time when I am not on other servers or our own gaymers server.
It just seems rash, and not fitting with other punishments.

TL:DR You got banned for most likely spraying shock porn got banned and are now trying to use the "Homophobia" claim to get away with it. I am gay for 1, and I feel like it has a motivation in this, so I am going to make it known. It was a cartoon, no worse than most sprays that are used anywhere else. But I am glad that you took the time to object here. This is really making mad - Echo. See, how can trying just to appeal this make you mad? Seems pretty fair to say that he's a bit quick and harsh with his admin powers.

The spray was of a homosexual nature ( a cartoon) , whereas people spraying naked women all the time results in no ban, and no one says anything.
Seeing as this admin is not only a pretty new admin, and also being 17, it seems the only explanation for applying the harshest punishment available. Plus, not even waiting for a game change so I could change my spray, makes no sense
Replying to Echo's post which was posted as I write this: The sprays change when the map changes, not at the end of each round, sorry if I mispoke, but anyone playing The Hidden long enough would know what I meant. Again our names are *very* similar, so again they are easy to mistake. And if you said anything over voice, it was impossible to hear anything over the player who was yelling over the mic, and you know that.
And 4 rounds, please. I was only in there for 2, my friend was in there for 4 >.>
Also, you still have yet to justify a permaban, when I have never had any problems on any of the servers until you showed up.

You certainly did not "slap" me, our names are similar so it's possible you got us confused. Also, I am connected to a mumble server when I am playing and neither of us heard you. Also did you take into account the fact that the sprays don't change until the round ends?
I am not sure how you are justified in a permaban though, when blantant team killers only get a temp 1-3 day ban. Again, this just seems like a manifestation of homophobia.
I mean *seriously* a permaban? How does this make any sense, other than personal issues?
