Crypto, the last time you came in to get your ban removed, you went about it the absolute wrong way, and made yourself look, well, poorly. This is coming back to haunt you, and tied the hands of your supporters.
Cadaver, I wasn't trying to get unbanned when I came back as ThatGuy. I was just bored and messing around. I seriously cannot believe that you guys actually think I am here to cause trouble and that leads me to believe that there are grudges against me that I am/was not even aware of. (Specifically from you, Cadaver. I had been under the impression that you were trying to see my point of view when you asked me to contact you via Steam. Being unable to reach you, I copy-pasted what I had to tell you to the Shoutbox, and you termed it a ragequit and banned me for it. That stung.) If I wanted to troll CG then I wouldn't have squandered my home IP by making an account, admitting to being me, and requesting an unban. I don't understand how you can think that I have ill intentions. Why don't you lift the ban and then see what happens? If I break rules then great, reban me. I'd rather you guys hold off on a vote. I don't want a vote to be rushed before I get the chance to talk to the people who are opposing my unban. Preview edit: I remember very little about the Grammar Nazi thing and I don't think I was a very active hand in it.

I don't see what's wrong with unbanning me and just rebanning me if they decide I'm a disruptive presence. It wouldn't be a big deal.

I didn't think site bans fit into the format seeing as they aren't Steam- or game-related. Honestly, when I hear his name, I remember a bunch of arguements and crap that came with it, nothing good. I believe he deserved the ban. You think I should remain banned because of some rumors or vague memories that stick in your head? That seems pretty unreasonable.

Hi, I'm Crypto and this is my formal request for an unban from the CG website. I was considering posting for a while on this IP (my home computer, which oddly isn't banned anymore) and demonstrating to the administration that I'm in no way harmful to the community, but I decided that such behavior might be viewed as a betrayal of trust or something to that effect and that it would be wiser to take this route.
I'm going to be blunt and brief, because long-winded sugarcoated bullshit would be an insult to the intelligence of the community leaders: I don't really understand the logic behind keeping me banned. People frequently called me a troll but trolling was never my intention; I simply enjoyed taking polemical tacks. The only situations where I would go overboard—other than some religious discussions, perhaps—were ones involving Inject. It's been a long time since I've interacted with him and I don't think I could muster the ire to care at this point. The last year has been pretty wearying for me and—if you'll give me the benefit of the doubt here—I no longer have much interest in squabbling on gaming forums. I just want to be able to participate in onsite discussions with certain people. It sucks to be stuck on the sidelines all the time.
Before you re-ban this IP, if that is your intention, I'd like to at least speak with those of you who oppose my unban, either in this thread, through private messages, or on Steam.
