Two reasons why it's good IMO
1. Adds aesthetic value, the fields aren't so empty. If you don't like it, simply get a texture pack that makes it look better/invisible.
2. I'm sure there could be some kind of work around, but isn't tall grass the primary source of wheat seeds?(besides the wheat.)
edit: wish people would just post reasons instead of using the poll and leaving.

Nah, cant be vidcard overheating.
Otherwise you have issues with other games aswell. And possible a BSOD.
Depends. When my fan died on my old card, I could play TF2, L4D2 and other games fine, if I played something like Just Cause 2 or something with better graphics it would black out the screen.

Graphic card overheating? Make sure the fan is kicking on. I've had the same thing happen, where the fan wouldn't kick on, and some of my games would rub fine, while others would crash or have huge spikes.

Also, can people make their hacks anymore obvious? He was speeding when tons of people were around him and everything.
Speed hackers tend to not care, their hack is too obvious so they rarely try to hide it.

From the pictures? Naw that's just the unit count for both your fleet and the planets that you take over. Really that stuff is for show, and you can turn it off

Yes it is an excellent game. The difference from some other space RTS's is that it is very streamlined, so its easy to learn, but its a little harder to master. Combat tends to focus more on Capital ship combat and some good tactics are required to not take large losses or lose systems to the enemy. Games can go from about 2 hours to 10+, hell I played a 15 hour game, it just feels epic running with fleets that size.
