We kind of need /home and /back for the nether though; that's all I really use it for because nether portals are retarded in SMP.
Dying in lava with all my shit is the #1 reason I stop playing minecraft; the ability to /home instead of this makes me infinitely happy. It makes up for the bullshit and lag we have to deal with on the multiplayer server. I've already died 3 times just joining the server; and when the commands stopped existing my friend ended up in the nether somehow and had to walk all the way to our house from whoever's portal he came out of.

What happened to the ability to set /home and use /back, /help, /tpa and the such? Is that forever gone or is something messed up?

It means either way, there is hardware/software blocking the ports.
Modems do have ports disabled too...
Yeah sometimes they do; but I don't think that's the issue.. it could be but for a multitude of people to experience the same problem while they can access every other game server.. I dunno.

Nah; people stopped using routers years ago. We've got 2 laptops and 3 desktops on one modem in my household EZPZ; and I don't think his ports are an issue unless people gotta start switching ports and turning off their firewalls to view gameservers/connect to them.
Than how would you use the same IP (WAN) address in your local network hmmpfs?

Something I'd really like is help; I kinda wanna start training someone like patty doc or multigrain to work ftp. I know wholegrain and the others don't exactly care for so many people with ftp, but I'm essentially still away. I can rarely play and if I had someone else to help it would seriously help the server. The more people with FTP giving a fuck; the better.

All I can recommend is turning your video settings all the way down, because I never get much lag on that map unless the plane crashes on a full server and everyone has like 200+ ping; but if your settings are all the way down and you still experience lag you should look into upgrading your PC.

Not everyone will like forums at first or the idea of HAVING to post on them. I didn't have to when I first became admin, but a month into being a trial I finally started regularly posting and now I'm pretty sure I'm addicted; six months later I was head admin. Not everyone's good material, some people are shit socially and wouldn't represent us right, so we just tell them we're full on admins for now; feel free to play and help out till we need some!
If you have a post requirement though, expect people who want admin and are completely illiterate to spam the forums until they can apply. Some make it, some don't like us and leave. We're not exactly the nicest people when it comes to handling necros and whatnot.

The only thing that would make me play ZPS is if a decent mapper remade a huge handful of the classic zp v1.0 maps, the fact that clubzombo was killed by zps' remake was just a facepalm.
Would love to see classic maps make a return in bulk.
Well the devs are in fact working on an update due out before the holiday season; said so after their most recent update which fixed a few bugs. So we might actually see some interesting maps this time around; the last maps they offered was thrillvile, murksvile and like; whatever else there was. When Violent Crimes was promoted he promised cabin as an official ZPS map, so I'd still like to see a balanced cabin map. Which classic maps would you like to see though sammy? Perhaps we could find some working versions out there.. I've edited the rules so they're fine, and we'll definitely be seeing a funnight sometime soon; what days would be best? Fridays? Saturdays? Wednesdays?
