Kentucky soil is only good for growing two things. Tobacco, and Cannabis.

Google hemp. It can be used for many things including paper and rope BUT you cannot smoke it, as it does not have the active ingredient that weed has. Basically it got banned because its the same plant as weed, and the paper industry didn't want more competition.

Only afterwords was it banned, as the "War on Drugs" fail linked Hemp and Weed. (Same plant, per se.)

Post by: Fullmetal Megadave on February 02, 2013, 02:12:46 PM: I'm not saying im against weed, cause I sure as hell aint :), but if the Drug Czars really wanted to get rid of weed smoking, they should plant shitloads of hemp, as the pollen from the hemp will pollinate any weed plant for miles if the field is big enough, and the pollinated weed will grow shitty ass seedy bud.

Well weed isnt legal in Kentucky, only Hemp.

Guys you cannot smoke Hemp....well you can, but since it doesn't have the active ingredient, you get absolutely nothing.

Basically its been kept illegal because the paper industry has enough money ton ensure it remains illegal. Like Cadaver said it makes good rope, but it can also make good paper, and its a much better renewable product then using trees.
