HOLY FUCK SOMEONE ELSE WHO PLAYS THIS GAME THIS IS THE GAME WHITELLAMA LEFT US TO GO PLAY K;LSJFSLKFJSFJ;SLJ

He made a thread about this once.  Nobody posted.  play baystation 12, heavy RP server.  Need any help come to me or find whitellama, game is too much mother fucking fun.

I reccomend /tg/ if you want a toned down RP level, just don't play goons.  You don't want to play goonstation.

Haven't tried /tg/ btw.

This thread made me jizz my pants.

Hard to learn to play, shitty engine, but so many awesome moments.  i.e. some asshole syndicate shipped a cardboard box to security.  I was an officer, I opened, found a fucking severed head which turns out to belong to our captain.  That was one hell of a round...

On another note: Producing SMGs for security as research director then going afk for an hour or two and returing is a bad idea, I was asleep in my office, woke up with smashed windows, missing AI board, missing pAI, no ID, the Head of security was demoted to janitor, and my SMG was missing from the armory.  I was like dafuq happened while I was away?  If you play baystation, place tgstation first and learn there, same code base for the most part, and not so RP strict.

Hey, it's been a while since i've posted (School work  :-X) And I apologize for that, But while I was gone, I found this fun game called Space Station 13. It's a game that runs on the Byond client, and is hella fun with 30+ people.

Similar to TTT, In the way that innos have to find traitors, but sometimes, it's not just traitors. Sometimes Aliens board the ship, and try to destroy it, Or maybe astroids are heading straight for the ship, and you have to get to get to the Emergency Shuttle before it's too late.

There are also roles, Kind of like DarkRP, There's docters, Engineers, Janitors, And even bartenders. There won't always be traitors, but sometimes Space wizards, or a Death Squad. The only downsides to this game are
1. It requires people to play, at least 30 +
2. The Byond client lags A LOT
3. Controls are weird at first, and understanding the game takes time.
4. This game is only for people with free time. Games can take up to 3+ hours to finish.
And because of this, Its hard to find good gameplay of this game.
I found this game on /vg/, And i play in the /vg/ server often.
To sum it up better, on a spacestation, a wide array of jobs, wide array of gamemodes, lots of items, very complex, shitty engine, long rounds.  You're basically RPing 2d spacemen XD

We are always open to more servers

this however will be on hold until the upgrade (waiting for NATO to die down ALL May has fucked ALL transportation (transit wise no access to a car)

but I would be down to bring it up later and give it a test run if the other leaders are down

Space station 13 would be hard to manage, would need lots of admins, also doesn't have a huge playerbase, so finding players would also be difficult.

Unless a lot of CG people would play it, kickstarting it wouldn't be very easy.  None the less it would be fun.

I'm still waiting for someone to remake it in a game engine that isn't Byond.

Yes, there is a group of people doing this, that'll be awesome when it's done.  Will be a huge project though.

I wouldn't touch the idea of putting up an SS13 server with a ten foot pole. BYOND is a terrible, terrible platform, developing for it is even worse, servers require massive amounts of administration, and hosting the game is extremely system intensive due to BYOND being shit and very unoptimized code, which has been passed between open-source community developers so many times it's hard to count. SS13 communities have a hard enough time getting off the ground as-is, so I wouldn't recommend it. Normally I wouldn't oppose to hosting a game I love so dearly, but it's just not easily possible unless a lot of our players take a liking to it.

The game is definitely fun to play, though. I have a feeling the /tg/ server (http://nanotrasen.com/) best suits the playstyle of CG members, however I play on BS12 (http://baystation12.net/), which is much more oriented on serious-roleplay. I wouldn't mind helping organize an SS13 game night, though, where people interested in learning and those who already play could all pop into a server and figure it out. (Since it can be difficult to learn without guidance.)

However, if you're going to give the game a spin, be warned that playing on the Goonstation servers (the ones labeled Gibbed), may leave a bad taste in your mouth. Players take winning to the extreme there, and often murder you simply because you still happen to be alive. I've heard from other players that the administrators there are very abusive, as well, but I haven't witnessed that first hand. /tg/, which I linked earlier, is a bit better of a middle ground between intense roleplay and no roleplay. Really, it's better to avoid most of the servers listed publicly altogether. I haven't tried all of them, but hidden servers tend to have better players, from what I've observed.

Probably because the game is extremely griefable, I mean, you can turn off the lights, take out the lightbulbs, pump them with gas, put them back in, turn on the lights, and watch them all explode.

There are endless possibilites.
